The council fosters cooperative action in advancing the common purpose of its members, sponsors education programs and activities for the advancement of green building to members and the public, and advances the image of the green building industry.
In addition, the SWGBC promotes the common business interests of those engaged in green building and development. SWGBC recommends such legislation and regulations that can help stimulate green building and recommend corrective action for those laws, rules or regulations that tend to discourage, stifle and impede green building!
